‘The 100’ Season 4 Trailer Teases Lots Of Death And Destruction To Come

Season 3 of The 100 left us with Clarke (Eliza Taylor) making a major move as she flipped the lever to stop Alie (the A.I), threatening her life and everyone else’s in the process.

On Wednesday, The CW finally released its first look at season 4 and we’re happy to report that Clarke is alive, which means she didn’t die when she chose to kill Alie.

There is however a LOT of death and destruction in the trailer, but seeing Clarke makes us so happy that we can get over the possible horrors she’ll have to face this season.

The trailer begins with Alie warning Clarke about power plants melting, black rain coming, pre-cancerous lesions appearing, and lands being destroyed. Despite her warning that death is coming, Clarke pulls that lever and prepares for a new, scarier world.

Death might be inevitable as the voice claims, but Clarke is ready to fight as are her friends and loved ones.

“If we stick together, we won’t just survive, we’ll thrive,” Clarke promises as she prepares for war.

On a happy note, we see Bellamy’s (Bob Morley) return to the series and he’s as great as ever. When Clarke asks him if he still has hope, he replies, “Are we still breathing?” Yes, we just love these characters.

There is so much drama and tension throughout the trailer, as everyone is trying to survive, but no one is really living. Can they escape the fate of death or will everyone fall like Alie predicted?

“From the ashes we will rise,” the trailer reads, before we see more fighting, dying, and arguments among allies.

Just when you think the teaser is over, we get one last look at Clarke, who is covered in the pre-cancerous lesions and losing her eyesight. That can’t be accurate, right? It must be a dream? She can’t get sick, because then who will save everyone else?

The 100 returns to The CW on February 1, 2017.
