Oh man, John Wick is back and better than ever!

On Monday (Dec. 19), Lionsgate released the official trailer for John Wick: Chapter 2 and the assassin is ready for war… well, sort of.

In the first John Wick film, Keanu Reeves played John Wick and he was all about being an assassin after losing his wife. This time around he’s retired, until he is forced back into action… unwillingly.

“Are you working?” Common asks in the beginning of the trailer. “I’m afraid so,” Reeves’ character replies.
Shortly after it’s clear that John Wick is fighting once more and the action in the trailer make for a major thrill seeking film.

Although John tries to turn down a bad guy’s request to kill again, he is then blackballed and becomes a marked man. By saying no to a job, he is forced out of retirement to save his own life, and the fight scenes that follow are very intense.

His house explodes, there are guns everywhere, and everyone is out to get him. The price on his head has gone international, so there is no turning back.

“Whoever comes, I’ll kill them. I’ll kill them all,” John says, looking battered and bruised, but clearly not giving up.

The trailer ends with the introduction of Ruby Rose’s character, Ares, who speaks to him using sign language. That’s something we didn’t see coming.

John Wick: Chapter 2 is set to hit theaters on February 10, 2017.
