There’s no denying that 2016 was definitely Britney Spears’ year!

The princess of pop made a splash with her ninth studio album, Glory, and additionally wowed us all with a slew of stellar performances across various stages.

Now that the year is coming to an end, we’re raising a glass to Brit Brit with a list of four amazing moments that prove she totally had the best year ever! Take a look back at some of the best Britney moments of 2016 below.

1. She made her triumphant return to the VMAs Stage.
Britney Spears has a penchant for pulling off incredibly iconic performances at the MTV VMAs, so it’s safe to say all eyes were on the “Piece of Me” singer when she took the VMAs stage in 2016 for the first time in seven years.

The good news is that Brit Brit’s performance went off without a hitch, marking a triumphant return for the singer. Spears dazzled the crowed with a performance of her single, “Make Me,” and a surprise cover of Bebe Rexha’s “Me, Myself and I” that proved she’s still got what it takes to pull off show-stopping performances.

2. She released her ninth studio album to date.
Brit Brit fans had quite the wait between albums this time around, but after three long years, Spears bestowed us with Glory just in time for the tail end of summer.

The album, which was released in August of 2016, features a slew of fun tracks like “Clumsy,” “Do You Wanna Come Over?” and the lead single, “Make Me…”

3. She took a memorable ride for James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment.
Adele’s stint on Carpool Karaoke may have been YouTube’s most viral video of the year, but it’s safe to say that Britney Spears’ turn in James Corden’s passenger seat was one of the most highly anticipated moments of the year.

Spears and Corden shared a fun ride together on the hit Late Late Show segment where they sang along to some of Brit Brit’s biggest hits including “Toxic,” “Womanizer,” and “Oops!…I Did It Again.”

4. She announced a slew of new dates for her Las Vegas residency.
The pop star’s residency at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino has become almost synonymous with Las Vegas and the good news is, there’ll be even more chances for you to catch Britney: Piece of Me if you’re heading out to Nevada in 2017!

In September, the pop star surprised fans by announcing a slew of new dates for her Las Vegas residency, which span from March 22, 2017 through May 20, 2017. We can’t be the only ones itching to plan a trip to see Britney in action!
