With the Golden Globes airing in early January this year, Sunday night’s SAG Awards became the penultimate event to the Oscars. Luckily, the significance of the lead up wasn’t lost on anyone — especially not the TV and movie actresses charged with closing out awards season in style.
While metallics were in heavy rotation at the 2017 Globes and People’s Choice Awards, stars including Emma Stone, Yara Shahidi and Amy Adams (to name just a few), didn’t need sequins to shine at the SAGs. Instead, the night’s leading ladies turned heads in unique prints, solid stripes, and fun accents.
Take a look at some of our favorite styles below, and prepare to feel inspired!
While she’s known for her killer suit collection, singer Janelle Monae mixed things up at the SAGs in a ruffled dress. Sure, there’s a lot to unpack here — but the floral wrist cuffs alone (new trend alert?!) are worth the extra effort.
