‘The Fate Of The Furious’ Trailer Is Finally Here, And It Will Make Your Heart Race

If Lady Gaga’s high-flying halftime performance at this year’s Super Bowl 51 didn’t get fans’ heart racing, the latest trailer for Fate of The Furious, which premiered during the game’s commercial break, definitely did the trick.

In the latest trailer for the flick, the gang seem to be happily retired from the gang and adjusting to normal life…that is until a mysterious criminal named Cipher (Charlize Theron) woos Dom (Vin Diesel), and somehow hypnotizes him into betraying those closest to him. Even Dom’s wife, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) gets temporarily tossed aside.

In the midst of all the action, the film shows a bit of comedy when Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) is forced to team up with his former rival Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) to take down Cipher’s master plan and get Dom back.

Keep in mind, Furious 8 is the first film without the franchise’s original star Paul Walker. Walker died in a car accident in 2013 during the filming of Furious 7. Those his absence is definitely evident in the trailer, there’s enough stunts and action clips to keep the fan from feeling the void.

As the tagline of the trailer suggests, “the rules have changed” and it’s going to take a whole lot of racing to get things back on track. This F. Gary Gray-directed eighth installment to the famed action franchise will kick off summer blockbuster season this year on April 14.
