Everything old is new again, right? Well, in the case of this boy band, the answer is yes.
There have been a LOT of revivals from the ‘90s and early ‘00s when it comes to movies and TV lately, take Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life and Fuller House for example. Now however, it looks like bands are getting in on the revamp trend.
Thanks to O-Town fans, the former boy band is getting back together and releasing new music.
According to a press release that was reported by Bustle, the band, who began back in 2000 and broke up in 2003, band is teaming up again after fans showed their support for them via Kickstarter.
“I had high hopes, but nearly zero foresight when it came to how the Kickstarter would go. Reaching the goal in only seven hours was absolutely unexpected and enormously encouraging,” band member, Jacob Underwood said in the statement.
Underwood said the biggest thing he learned is that fans still love O-Town.
“It told me one thing: That we have fans out there that want us to continue to make music as OTOWN, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do,” he said.
This isn’t the first time that the band is getting back together. They did a 2013 reunion, which was a success, but making a fourth album is a whole other level.
The new album will include all of the original members expect for Ashley Parker Angel. While he will be missed we know the rest of the guys, Underwood, Trevor Penick, Dan Miller and Erik-Michael Estranda will more than make up for it.
Until the album comes out, you should dig through your old boxes, break out your favorite O-Town CD and of course listen to “All of Nothing” on repeat.
