Adele is truly a one of a kind artist, and based on her Grammy Awards speech , she’s just as amazing as we’d hope she’d be in real life.

On Sunday, Adele took home five Grammys, including Album of the Year. While the British singer’s amazing album, 25, definitely deserved the praised it received, it beat out Beyoncé’s Lemonade, which a LOT of people were not happy about…including Adele.

During her acceptance speech for Best Album, the 28-year-old singer gave love and praise to the “Formation” singer.

“I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humbled and very grateful and gracious, but my artist of my life is Beyoncé and this album for me, the Lemonade album is just so monumental,” Adele said on stage.

She continued to share her love for her fellow nominee saying, “Beyoncé, it was so monumental and so well thought out and so beautiful and soul baring, and we all got to see a side of you that you don’t always let us see and we appreciate that, and all us artists here adore you. You are our light!”

She then gave a shout out to growing up with Beyoncé in her life as a guide for her friends and her music.

“And the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel, is empowering and you make them stand up for themselves and I love you, I always have and I always will,” she said.

By accident, Adele then broke her Grammy Award in half, but later made it seem like it was totally fine, because she wanted to share it with Beyoncé anyways!

In fact, backstage, the “Hello” singer gushed even more about her idol, and it’s too sweet.

“Like I said in my speech, my album of the year is Lemonade. She is my icon of my who life,” she revealed after the show. “I was completely rooting for her, I voted for her. I felt like it was her time to win.”

The Grammy winner continued to tell the press room why she thought Queen Bey actually deserved it this year more than any, after she shared a sweet story of her falling in love with Beyoncé’s music back when she was 11 years old.

“I felt this album … showed another side to her that we haven’t seen and I felt blessed to be brought into that situation. Obviously the visual is very new and the Grammys are very traditional,” she continued. “But I just thought this year would be the year that they would kind of go with the tide. And I am of course very, very grateful having won it. But I felt the need because I love her, because I felt like she was more than worthy.”

Wow, this is true girl power and we just love Adele for her love towards Beyoncé and speaking her mind.
