Is there anything that Hayley Atwell can’t do? The British actress is now set to star on another TV series as the lead character and we can’t wait!

The Agent Carter actress has landed the lead role on the new miniseries, Howards End, TV Line reported, and it’s a big deal.

Howards End is a literature classic, and now it’s getting a TV update in the form of a Starz and BBC miniseries.

The show will be set in 1900 England, and explores the divisions (social and class) during that time period through three families. Atwell has been cast to play the role of Margaret Schlegel.

The four-part series will also star Matthew Macfadyen as Henry Wilcox, and Tracey Ullman as Aunt Juley Mind.

This adaptation will be the first TV version of the novel, but back in 1992 it was brought to life on the big screen with Emma Thompson as Margaret.

While Atwell has big shoes to fill, she knows what she’s doing in the TV world having starred on Agent Carter and most recently, Conviction.

There isn’t a release date for the miniseries, but Manchester by the Sea writer, Kenneth Lonergan, will pen the script, and Hettie Macdonald from Doctor Who will direct.

Will you tune in for the Howards End miniseries?
