In fact, the “Bad Blood” singer has some pretty extreme measures that she takes to protect her songs from leaking. It’s actually really awesome that she takes such good care of her music, but her tactics are a little intense.
In an interview with the Brazilian magazine, Capricho, via On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Sheeran opened up about hos serious his BFF gets with her tunes.
“She would never send new songs, no,” Sheeran told Capricho. “I hear them but it has to be with her.”
When the British singer was working on a duet with Swift, he explained that everything had to be in person… even if that meant sending guards in the “22” singer’s absence.
“I remember when I did a song with her for her album, I was in San Francisco, and they sent someone with a locked briefcase with an iPad and one song on it, and they flew to San Francisco, and played the song I’ve done with her,” he recalled.
Before the men left, they also got Sheeran’s opinion on the song, and we like how thorough they are.
“And they asked if I like it and I was like, ‘Yeah,’ and then they took it back, that’s how I hear it,” Sheeran explained.
Talk about being smart about who listens to your music and where. We love Swift and Sheeran, so keeping their music sacred is totally fine with us.
