If you were worried that the Oscars might put a damper on your favorite Sunday programming over on HBO, you’ve got nothing to fear! In light of the Academy awards airing this weekend, the premium network has come up with a solution!
HBO announced on Monday (Feb. 20) that it will make the episodes of Girls, Big Little Lies, and Crashing, originally scheduled to air on Sunday (Feb. 26), available to stream beginning on Friday.
Fans who follow the series will be able to enjoy this week’s episodes of their favorite shows early via HBO Now, HBO Go, and On Demand.
According to EW, HBO decided to make the episodes available a bit earlier in order to avoid competing with the Oscars, which is set to air live during the same block that Girls, Big Little Lies, and Crashing are normally scheduled to air.
While it’s a great strategical move on HBO’s part, as fans of these shows, we’re incredibly happy to hear we won’t find ourselves having to choose between tuning in to our favorite series, and seeing which of our favorite stars walk away winners on Oscar Sunday!
