Releasing cast photos on social media are all the rage these days, and Alien: Covenant is jumping on the trend.
On Tuesday, 20th Century Fox released its first cast photo from Ridley Scott’s upcoming Alien: Covenant film.
The picture is fierce, strong and demands attention, which we are totally into. You can see the entire cast standing around a table, giving off a Last Supper sort of vibe.
Okay, it’s more like a meeting of the alien-fleeing intergalactic travelers sitting around a table, but it is equally as cool.
“Introducing the #AlienCovenant crew. Don’t miss @LegionFX on @FXNetworks tomorrow, February 22, for a special sneak peek,” the studio wrote on Twitter.
While the image is dark you can see some familiar faces ready to take action and face aliens, if you look closely.
The picture includes Michael Fassenbender, Katherine Waterson, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, and Amy Seimetz.
James Franco is in the middle of the cast photo, and even though he was one of the last actors to confirm his role in the latest Alien installment, we are SO ready to see what his character does.
The cast is HUGE, so it obviously doesn’t stop there. It also shows, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby.
Based on the photo, it looks like the actors are all hanging out in the Covenant, which will house the characters before they discover a planet full of aliens, even though it won’t seem like that at first.
In addition to the group photo, there will be a teaser on FX’s Legion episode tomorrow, so tune in!
Alien: Covenant hits theaters on May 19, 2017.
