Katy Perry has always remembered to thank her fans for their love and support.

That was definitely the case when she took the stage to accept her People’s Choice Award for Favorite Pop Artist in 2013.

That year, Perry also won Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Music Video and Favorite Social Media Fan Following. Pretty impressive, right?

“Thank you so much. It’s a very nice way to start off the new year. I’m glad I didn’t trip and fall and eat it on the way up,” Perry said as she took the stage rocking a fun braided ‘do.

After hearing all of the awards she had won listed on her walk to the stage, the 32-year-old singer couldn’t help but give a shout out to her fans for making it all possible.

“I just wanted to say I heard there are a couple other awards, which is so cool. And they said I think ‘Best Fans," she said. “So, I think that if I had to pick one of the awards, that one would be my favorite because I think my fans support me so much, they’re kind of like my friends.”

Her fans love and continued support is all Perry could talk about as she held onto her People’s Choice trophy.

“I am very glad that they have given me the time to grow as an artist and I so look forward to entertaining you again,” Perry explained. “So, back to the studio I go!”

And back to the studio she went, releasing Prism in October 2013 and then singles like, “Rise” in 2016 and “Chained to the Rhythm” in 2017.
