Can you believe Britney Spears only won her first People’s Choice Award in 2014? Yes, it’s true!

At the 2014 award show, Heidi Klum and Arrow’s Stephen Amell took the stage to announce the winner for Favorite Pop Artist and the award went to the one and only, Spears.

The princess of pop has won a lot of awards in her day, but this one was new for her. She was also nominated for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Music Fan Following. Although she has won a PCA since this event, your first is always the sweetest.

“Wow. This is so cool. This is awesome,” Britney said as she began her speech.

Despite being such a major star, Britney really didn’t see the win coming.

“I was not expecting this. It’s because of all of you that I am able to do what I love to do,” she continued.

The singer then thanked everyone who is important to her, and although the speech was short, it was so heartfelt.

“I want to thank my family, my beautiful family, my boys at home,” she said. “My management team, and all of my fans, I love you dearly.”

We wish we could watch Brit win an award every day. She’s just so happy and bubbly, it really makes us smile!

PS: Klum announcing Spears’ name is all of us when we hear Spears on the radio. Her voice was SO full of excitement and happiness.
