Uma Thurman has had a very successful movie career, but there is one role she regrets not taking.

The Kill Bill actress recently stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about her guest starring role on Imposters. While she was there to talk about her killer role, things quickly turned to the road not taken.

The Pulp Fiction actress revealed that she was in fact offered the role of Eowyn in Lord of the Rings, but ultimately turned it down.

“Ah, yes. It was a very long time ago, and I do consider it one of the worst decisions ever made,” Thurman told Colbert.

The reason for turning it down however, makes total sense.

“But I had just had my first child, and I just — I don’t know, I was a little housebound,” she explained. “It’s really definitely a regret.”

Okay, so being a first-time mom and wanting to spend time with family is a valid reason to say no to Lord of the Rings, but it would’ve been awesome to see her in that role.

The role later went to Miranda Otto, who nailed it, so we really can’t complain.

It is however, crazy to think about Thurman being a part of that franchise, but at least she’s been a sword wielder and franchise guru (aka all the Kill Bill movies) in other films.
