To most Gossip Girl fans, Leighton Meester will forever be Blair Waldorf, but the actress isn’t exactly keen on playing the character again.

Don’t panic Gossip Girl lovers, Meester is very grateful for her Queen B days, but now that she’s in her 30s she admits she’s outgrown that character, which we understand.

“I think I’m different,” Meester told Rogue via E! Online about her growth as an actress. “I started Gossip Girl 10 years ago when I was 20, and I’m 30 now.”

The Texas native admitted that she has definitely evolved and we see what she’s getting at.

“I loved doing it, and now I’m doing something else that I love, and something new that’s a little bit more my taste as a 30 year old, something I’ve grown into,” she explained.

Meester also revealed that she will forever be grateful to the fans of The CW show and will never forget them, or that time.

“I feel so lucky that I can have such amazing fans and they either grew up with [the show] or they’re growing up with it now,” she continued. “I’ve also heard people say, ‘Oh we watch that as a throwback.”

Although Blair will always hold a special place in Meester’s heart, she’s moved onto another TV venture, playing Deborah Revere on Making History.

“I’m proud to work on a show that uplifts the female lead, and has a not-so-subtle yet approachable commentary on the treatment and mistreatment of women throughout the ages,” Meester told Rogue about her new role.

While we’re sad that the 30-year-old actress won’t be throwing back on her headbands and Upper East Side fashions again, playing a colonial woman is exciting and we can’t wait to see her on it.

Making History premieres on March 5, 2017 on FOX.
