Remember when Eva Longoria was on TV every week as Gabrielle Solis? Ah, those were the days!

In 2007, Longoria won the title of Favorite Female TV Star and she was SO happy about it.

“Thank you, wow, people, people! Thank you, I love you too,” she said. “If it wasn’t for the people, I would never win an award. Thank you so much.”

Longoria then made a joke about her big family rigging the vote, and we laugh every time we hear it.

“I think it’s unfair, I have a really big Mexican family and I think they all voted like twice,” she said jokingly.

After the laughs quieted a little bit, the thank you speech just came pouring out.

“I want to thank everybody. Thank you ABC and Touchstone and Mark Cherry for writing Gabrielle, I love her so much,” Longoria told the audience. “Thank you to my cast and my husband [on the show], Ricardo Chavira who’s amazing and makes me laugh every day.

Last, but certainly not least, the Texas native gave a shout out to the fans, all of the fans.

“Thanks to you guys, who welcome us into your homes every week,” she said. “If it wasn’t for you guys, we wouldn’t be stars, so thank you so much.”

Long live Eva, and long live Desperate Housewives!
