This weekend, a new generation of Power Rangers will burst onto the big screen. If the teaser trailers are anything to go by, we’re in for quite the wild ride as our favorite teenagers with attitude suit up to protect the world from the evil clutches of Rita Repulsa.

In short, there’s plenty of reasons to get excited about Power Rangers, but just in case you need an extra bit of incentive to get pumped up for the movie, we’ve come up with a list of a few reasons you should be totally stoked to head out to the theater to see the film!

1. They’ll be morphing into brand new suits.
Gone are the days of traditional spandex! The new suits donned by the Power Rangers in the movie definitely look like they’re made for maximum protection! In fact, it sounds as though they might even have some extraterrestrial powers!

In an interview with EW, director Dean Israelite revealed that the suits are actually alien costumes that grow on the teens. With that in mind, we’re definitely looking forward to learning more about the suits’ special properties when the movie comes out!

2. Bryan Cranston will make his grand return to the franchise
By now, it’s no secret that the Breaking Bad star will be playing the Rangers’ mentor, Zordon, but what you might not know is that this isn’t Cranston’s first time partaking in Power Rangers.

In fact, Cranston voiced quite a few of the villains in the first season of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series including Snizzard and Twin Man.

As fun as it is to know Cranston once voiced some of our favorite baddies, we’re totally excited to see him take on a more prominent role in the new Power Rangers movie!

3. Director Dean Israelite grew up being a huge fan of the original series.
When the time comes to reboot a popular franchise, it’s always comforting to know that the person in charge is just as big of a fan of the original source material as you are. That’s why it’s great to know that Power Rangers director Dean Israelite grew up loving Power Rangers just like most 90s kids did.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Israelite revealed that when he set out to make the new Power Rangers flick, his hope was to incorporate some of the overall themes the original series did such a good job of showcasing.

“I grew up on those characters and I watched them grow up, too. There wasn’t always much depth and complexity to the show, but the themes of it are complex,” said Israelite. “I thought if I could bring those themes and embellish them and make them nuanced and multi-dimensional, it could echo the start of the show.”

Power Rangers hits theaters on March 24.
