From the moment that Pacific Rim: Uprising was announced fans have been clamoring to get a look at the new movie.
Pacific Rim: Uprising is the sequel to the 2013 film, Pacific Rim, which was a major hit. While the plot of the second film is still unknown, we do have some casting news.
Scott Eastwood, Charlie Day, Tian Jing, and John Boyega will all be starring in the upcoming film.
Even better, Boyega has been sharing photos from the movie, mostly of himself, as Jake Pentecost. The photos don’t give too much away, but they do get us more excited for the movie.
Recently, the star posted a cool, dark picture of himself on set.
“Pentecost #pacificrimuprising,” he captioned the photo.
Boyega will be playing the son of Idris Elba’s character form the first movie and from the looks of it, he is going to be a force to be reckoned with.
The picture shows Boyega’s character sitting inside a circular window looking out at the world. He seems to be within the heart of the Jaeger.
He previously shared another look at his character online from the inside of a machine that seems rundown or destroyed.
“I am Pentecost 2018 #pacificrimuprising,” the actor wrote alongside the photo.
Pacific Rim: Uprising is set to hit theaters on February 23, 2018.
