Netflix is finally giving us a look at the superheroes that will be starring in the upcoming series, The Defenders, and we are SO excited.

During San Diego Comic Con over the summer, the streaming service released its first trailer for the show. It featured Nirvana’s “Come As You Are” and the peeling back of paper to show the names of the superheroes on the show.

The clip was short, and didn’t show much, but it did leave us wanting more. Now, Netflix has released another teaser, and this time we actually get to see the four leading characters!

While the clip, which was released on Tuesday (April 4), is only 16-seconds long, it does contain some really important info for the fans: The series’ premiere date. According to the footage, The Defenders will debut on August 14, 2017.

So what else happens in the Defenders new teaser? Sadly, not much.

What you do see is Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) all in an elevator together. The clip is shot to resemble real elevator footage, aka it is grainy and black and white.

After seeing the four characters step into the elevator, you get the sense that they are tired. All four leads are dressed in normal street clothes and look very casual.

Maybe they just came from a battle? Iron Fist keeps holding his head, so maybe he was struck hard and is dealing with pain?

Inside the elevator the wall reads, “Midland Circle Financial,” which means they could be working on a heist, or getting intel about some sort of robbery? Who knows, so much could be happening!

As the elevator begins to go down from the 45th floor, Jessica Jones turns towards the camera and jumps up. She turns it off and everything goes grey!

Sadly, that’s all we get this time around.

We still don’t know too much about the plot of the series, even with this new clip, besides the fact that The Defenders focuses on the common goal of all four heroes to “Save New York City.”

If they can overcome their personal issues, and work together, maybe these guys can save New York City. Here’s hoping we get to see them in action in the next teaser.

The Defenders is set to premiere on Netflix summer 2017.
