Attention: Gilmore Girls fans, this is something you need to hear — but be warned, it might not be what you want to hear.

After Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premiered on Netflix in 2016, original Gilmore Girls diehards were SO happy. Getting to see what the Gilmore ladies were up to after all these years was like a dream come true, but as soon as the binge-watches were over, there were cries for more.

Yes, fans want more than the four-part installment gave us, but Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai Gilmore, isn’t so sure that another season should happen.

“Now it has become, ‘What can we do that is satisfying, and worth continuing, and gratifying to the people who care so much about it.’ I don’t know if there is a need to do more,” Graham, who hasn’t yet been approached by Netflix for a second season, told the audience at Deadline’s The Contenders Emmy panel over the weekend. “I would never want it to feel like we overstayed our welcome… There’s probably a way to keep these characters alive but I don’t know if that’s the best thing for them.”

We definitely see where Graham is coming from, because we wouldn’t want our favorite Stars Hollow characters doing bizarre things just to push out another season. That doesn’t mean that we don’t want to see more of the Gilmore girls in the future.

Maybe they do need a tiny break — just a small one — and then another installment of a year in the ladies’ lives? That’s our vote!

What do you think Gilmore Girls fans? Do you want more?
