Prison Break creator Paul T. Scheuring might not be interested in another season of the new revival, but star Wentworth Miller isn’t as set on the one season plan.

The FOX series just returned (on April 4) after a seven-year hiatus and fans are already hoping they’ll get more than one new season of the drama. Luckily, Miller, who plays Michael Scofield (spoiler alert: he’s still alive!) on the series, isn’t against more Prison Break stories in the future.

“I wouldn’t rule it out,” Miller told Entertainment Weekly about coming back for more. “I feel like there’s more story there and now we’re talking about multiple generations.”

The actor does, however, have one caveat when it comes to his willingness to return for more episodes.

“There are a lot of different directions that we could go, but I’m not in favor of exploring any of that unless there’s something awesome that we can sink our teeth into,” he explained to EW’s Natalie Abrams.

While Wentworth is mostly on board for another round of prison breakouts, series creator Paul T. Scheuring recently told Collider that he plans on sticking to the one-season commitment.

“I don’t like embarking on a story unless I know exactly where it ends. The reason I signed on to do this season was because I knew where the season ended,” Scheuring said. “I couldn’t tell you another story about this group of people.”

Even though he was much more vocal about saying goodbye to Prison Break after this season, he did reveal he might be okay reviving it way down the line.

“Maybe somebody else can, or by accident, I’ll somehow, possibly, dream up another prison escape that’s new and fresh, but I would bet against it,” he added.

Sorry Mr. Scheuring, but we’re totally rooting for Miller to get his way when it comes to continuing the series!

Prison Break airs on Tuesdays on FOX at 9 p.m.
