Chris Evans is totally team Scarlett Johansson! Evans said he would love to the actress in a standalone Black Widow movie, and so would we!

In a recent interview with Elle, the Gifted star opened up about his past relationships, love of Tom Brady and his dog, but we’re focused on his insight to all-things Marvel universe.

When asked why there hasn’t been a Black Widow specific film yet, Evans revealed that he’s just like us, and has no clue why it hasn’t happened.

“That’s a good question. It would really just clean up, wouldn’t it?,” Evans told Elle.

The 35-year-old actor has acted alongside Johansson for years now in all of the Avengers films and according to him she’d probably be open to her own action film.

“Scarlett [Johansson] is so good at everything she does. She’s played such a crucial part in the other films,” he explained. “She always makes her presence so felt — even when there are 50 different superheroes running around onscreen. I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens at some point in the future. I’m sure Scarlett would be open to it.”

While we’d have to check with Johansson herself to see if a Black Widow film was really a possibility, we love Evans’ take on it.

If there was a Black Widow standalone film, we vote for a Captain America cameo. It only seems right, since the Boston native is so pro Scarlett Johansson.

In case you can’t wait to see Evans back on screen as his hero alter ego in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 (which is filming now), you can see him in Gifted, which hits theaters on April 14, 2017!
