Luke Skywalker could be headed to the dark side! According to Mark Hamill, who plays Luke, the character could be shifting gears in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Hamill recently opened up to ABC News about what his character might be up to in the upcoming movie — and we’re both scared and excited about what he had to say.

“It was as shocking to me to read what Rian {Johnson, the director} had written as I’m sure it will be for the audience,” Hamill told ABC News about that teaser line.

The first Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer dropped last week, with Luke making a quick appearance at the very end to say this ominous line: “I only know one truth, it’s time for the Jedi to end!”

When ABC News asked Hamill if Luke could ever really turn from good to bad, the actor didn’t rule anything out.

“It’s possible, anything’s possible,” Hamill said.

Anything’s possible? This is NOT good news. Luke can’t go to the dark side, he just can’t!

What would Star Wars even be like if Luke Skywalker was bad? It would be mayhem. Now we are going to be awaiting more teasers, and clues, while trying not to panic.

Do you think Luke will flip over to the dark side?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15, 2017.
