While Powerless hasn’t officially been canceled, it’s not looking good for the new comedy. In fact, NBC has just pulled the series from its normal time slot and is filling it with something else.
In March, E! News reported that Powerless was on the chopping block and warned fans not to get too attached, and it’s looking like they were right.
According to Variety, NBC has now pulled the DC Comics comedy starring Vanessa Hudgens from its schedule and replaced it with reruns of Superstore, which has already been picked up for the 2017-2018 season.
There are three episodes left to air from the first season of Powerless, but there is no word on whether or not we’ll ever see them.
On Tuesday, showrunner Patrick Schumacker tweeted the news that the NBC schedule had changed, and he doesn’t seem optimistic that it will return.
“#Powerless will not air this week or next,” Schumacker tweeted. “This, I know for sure. I can guess some other things but they’re not good. Thanks for watching.”
The sign off with “thanks for watching,” doesn’t leave much hope for the series getting pick up for another season or returning anytime in the near future for the last few episodes.
There isa little glimmer of hope, however, because the show has yet to be officially canceled by the network.
What do you think about Powerless being pulled? Do you want a Season 2 of the hero comedy?
