Have you ever wondered what Harry Styles would be like as a late night talk show host? Well, we’re all about to find out!
On Tuesday (April 25), James Corden shared the hilarious Facetime call with Harry Styles that led to the singer moving into the The Late Late Show With James Corden for an entire week in May. Yes, you can start screaming with excitement now.
The video started out innocently enough with Corden listening to Style’s single, “Sign of the Times” before being interrupted by a video call from the British singer.
“I need to ask a favor. I’m coming to LA soon, and I need somewhere to stay,” Styles said. Of course, the talk show host offered up his home, but the former One Direction singer had another idea in mind…the studio.
Corden told Styles he could stay at the studio, but there would be rules. When Styles offered to pay him back in the way of entertainment — aka singing — Corden shut him down and said, he’d be singing. LOL.
Despite the fact that the video talked about Styles NOT singing, his Late Late Show residency will definitely include songs from the 23-year-old artist.
In fact, every night that he’s on the show, he will debut a new song from his first solo album, Harry Styles. This means that once he’s been there a week, we will have heard half of his album performed live!
So now that you’ve calmed down from this epic announcement, it’s time to break out your calendar. Styles will be on The Late Late Show beginning May 15 for a whole week.
“A week of Harry Styles. God help us all,” Corden said before ending the video — and after an adorable “No, you hang up” conversation with the singer. Oh yes, a week of Harry Styles, we’re clearly blessed!
Harry Styles drops on May 12, 2017.
