Lightening McQueen (Owen Wilson) is ready for this close up — err, we mean his comeback!

On Wednesday (April 26), Disney/Pixar released a new trailer for Cars 3 and all we can say is that we wish it was already June, so we could see it in theaters.

The trailer begins with Lightening McQueen talking with a publicist about his legacy. All of the infomercials, branding deals and more only stay in tact if he keeps winning.

“Every time you lose, you damage yourself,” Sterling (Nathan Fillion) says. We then see that daunting race when McQueen gets into a MAJOR accident. He is really hurt and no one knows if he will race again.

After the crash, McQueen heads back to Radiator Springs to refuel (literally and figuratively) and decide what he’s going to do. The good news is that we get to see all of our favorite characters when he is back in the tiny town.

The bad news is that there is a new car — Storm — that is breaking records while McQueen is recovering.

The rest of the trailer shows McQueen getting back on the track, training with his friends, and deciding that only he can say when it’s his last race. It’s clear that McQueen isn’t ready to say goodbye to his career.

“Don’t fear failure, be afraid of not having the chance. You have the chance,” Sally (Bonnie Hunt) says.

Now all we need is for summer to be here now, so we can see if McQueen will win his last race!

Cars 3 hits theaters on June 16, 2017.
