Katy Perry is all about the social media teases these days, and her new artwork single is no different.
On Wednesday (April 27), the “Chained to the Rhythm” singer revealed the new artwork for her upcoming single, “Bon Appetit,” and it’s a little bit strange. The artwork shows Perry’s head on a platter of fruit with three hands reaching out onto it.
It’s giving us serious Hannibal vibes, minus the whole actually eating people thing.
The good news is that this photo proves that there will be new music coming from the California native by the end of this month.
The bad news, well kind of, is that the pic is sort of creepy. Her head is floating on a platter and Migo’s seems to be reaching out to eat her!
This food-inspired single and artwork goes hand-in-hand with Perry’s other clue about her new song, which was a recipe for cherry pie.
Yes, Perry posted a cherry pie recipe, which seemed super tasty, and asked her fans to bake it for a possible surprise.
Since it went up, the 32-year-old singer has been reposting her favorite pies baked by fans.
One fan even gave a shout out to Perry after they received what looked like a signed menu from the artist.
We are SO on board for the cherry pie idea, but this Hannibal fruit plater is another story. What we really what to know, however, is what this track will sound like.
Is it actually about food? Is there a cherry pie reference in it? Will Perry ever rock a cherry pie, or fruit platter dress? We need answers!!!
“Bon Appetit” drops on April 28, 2017.
