Bruno Mars is all about his new album and we’re loving that he has a positive attitude about the whole experience — even if making the album was a LOT of work.

On Thursday (April 27), Mars appeared on On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk about the mission of the album, 24K Magic.

He described his album’s mission as a three-prong idea. First, he wants to “make the feel good R&B album of the year.” Next, he hopes to “keep everybody guessing.” And lastly, he wants everyone to “dance more.”

The 31-year-old singer might love touring and playing the album, but getting to the “victory lap” and end result wasn’t super easy. In fact it made him go a little crazy.

“Being in the studio, constantly looking for inspiration, and trying to basically turn nothing into something, that’s the part that you can go crazy,” he told host Ryan Seacrest.

He also admitted that he did go a little crazy, but it all paid off in the end.

“I definitely went crazy a number of times making this album, but the fact that it’s doing what it’s doing, and the song is getting higher on the charts, it’s a blessing,” he added.

Even with all of the craziness in studio, Mars turned out one amazing album. Which song on the album is your favorite?

Mars’ 24K Magic tour is currently in Europe and will begin in North America on July 15, 2017 in Las Vegas.
