As Once Upon a Time prepares to reboot with a smaller cast and new storylines next season, it’s time to look ahead to what could be in store for Storybrooke’s remaining residents when the drama returns.

As pointed out by EW, ABC included some low-key spoilers about the next chapter of OUAT in a press release on Tuesday (May 16) announcing the network’s 2017 fall schedule. According to a short summary in the release about season 7 of the fairy tale saga, next season will feature brand-new challenges and an “epic quest.”

“After six seasons, the residents of the enchanted forest face their greatest challenge yet as The Evil Queen, Captain Hook and Rumplestiltskin join forces with a grown up Henry Mills and his daughter Lucy on an epic quest to once again bring hope to their world and ours. Along the way, new fairy tale characters and old search for true love, find adventure and once again take sides in the struggle of good against evil, as classic tales are once more twisted and reimagined,” ABC said in its release.

Fans already got a glimpse at the future of OUAT in the season 6 finale, which flashed forward to show an adult Henry (Andrew J. West) and his daughter, Lucy (Alison Fernandez). With this new teaser, however, we finally have a better sense of how they’ll fit into the fold when the series picks up again.

Of course, a new quest is one of many changes coming to Once Upon a Time, which just bid farewell to a number of key cast members, including Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Josh Dallas, to name just a few. ABC’s fall 2017 schedule release also unveiled another big upcoming shift: The show will be moving from Sundays to Fridays next season.
