HBO has just released a brand-new poster for Game of Thrones season seven and it will definitely send a chill through your bones!

The latest art for the upcoming series features the dreaded Night King taking center stage amidst a pitch black backdrop. Though shadows cover most of his face, we can clearly make out a single glowing blue eye and the detailing of spikes protruding from his head in the shape of a crown.

As if the new poster wasn’t spooky enough, it also features a dusting of snow cascading around the Night King’s face, which definitely adds to the chilling effect!

Game of Thrones also unveiled an animated version of the poster. The animation starts with a close up of the Night King’s brilliant blue eye. If you look closely, you can see the reflection of a person that appears to be Jon Snow (Kit Harington) hiding in the depths of his pupil. It definitely looks like the Night King will be keeping a close eye on Snow as the season progresses.

As creepy as the new still is, we’ll definitely be looking forward to seeing the Night King and the White Walkers take center stage when Game of Thrones picks back up again.

This year’s wait between seasons was exceptionally long, but the good news is fans itching for adventure in Westeros with the likes of Cersei, Danerys, Sansa, and more, only have about two more months to wait before new episodes hit television.

Game of Thrones season 7 premieres July 16 on HBO.
