Castle may be over, but it’s clear Stana Katic isn’t straying far from law enforcement!

In her new series AbsentiaKatic is set to play an FBI agent who disappears without a trace while in pursuit of one of Boston’s most notorious serial killers. If you just can’t wait for the series to hit the small screen, you’re in luck!

Thanks to the official Absentia Twitter page, we’ve been able to get quite a few first look stills from the upcoming series featuring Katic as agent Emily Byrne.

“We are excited to release the first OFFICIAL photo from #Absentia starring @Stana_Katic as FBI Agent Emily Byrne,” reads the tweet from the series’ account.

Seeing Katic back on the force totally takes us back to her days as Beckett on Castle. The only thing missing is Castle himself, aka Nathan Fillion! However, it appears as though Katic will have a new partner-in-crime-solving on Absentia. Another first look still shared by the account shows Katic with costar Patrick Heusinger, who plays Nick Duran, a fellow FBI agent, who also happens to be Emily’s former husband.

From the synopsis of the series, we know that Emily is found in a cabin in the woods six years after her disappearance, but she’s barely alive and has no memory of what transpired during the years she was gone.

It looks like we’ll just have to tune in to Absentia to find out whether Emily ever recovers her memory, but given Katic’s excellent sleuthing skills on Castle, we’ve got no doubt she’ll be able to solve the case.
