Zac Efron may be hitting the beach as lifeguard Matt Brody in the upcoming Baywatch reboot, but he can’t escape his High School Musical past.

One person who isn’t letting Efron live down his HSM days is his Baywatch costar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. In the upcoming reboot, Johnson’s character, Mitch, calls Efron’s Matt a slew of hilarious nicknames, including “Malibu Ken” and “Baby Gap.” There was one nickname, however, that Efron really didn’t see coming.

In an interview with MTV News, Efron — who played Troy Bolton in The Disney Channel movie franchise — said Johnson snuck an unexpected High School Musical reference into the movie.

“It wasn’t in the script,” Efron told MTV News at the Miami press day for the film. “None of them were in the script.”

Despite being called a lot of names in the film, Johnson admitted that Efron was a pro.

“He was so down with it, which made it work. I love that about Zac,” Johnson told MTV News. “There’s not a lot of movie stars, who are like, ‘Yes! Make me the butt of the joke, awesome.’ Plus, he’s an easy target. He’s the best target out there.”

Baywatch hits theaters today (May 25)!
