In the Arrow universe there are a LOT of different characters worthy of a spinoff, but only one of them is currently campaigning for their own series… sort of. Manu Bennett is ready for more Deathstroke and he’s not alone.

Ever since Arrow fans were introduced to Deathstroke (aka Slade Wilson), Bennett’s character has been a serious fan favorite. Sure he was a villain, but most recently he became an ally to Green Arrow and it has sparked renewed interest in the character.

After getting a glimpse of Deathstroke in the season 5 finale of Arrow last month, fans and Bennett alike have voiced their desire to see the character more often and definitely with more consistency.

In fact, a fan reached out on Twitter to talk to Bennett about his amazing acting skills and role as the villain/ally causing Bennett to respond and entertain the idea of his own superhero series.

“Hey kid! You are a great actor and so charismatic! You are amazing on Spartacus, Arrow and Shannarah! We need a #Deathstroke spin off! 😀,” the Twitter user wrote.

Bennett really is an excellent actor with a LOT of range and intrigue, so we could definitely see why fans are liking the idea of a show focusing on his DC Comics character.

As for the actor’s thoughts on a spinoff? He tweeted, “Everybody who wants a #deathstrokeoriginalseries needs to rally.”

You heard the man, if you want a Deathstroke specific series you need to start talking about it! In case The CW’s hero lineup is too packed — they have five hero series on the fall/winter schedule — maybe this could make a good summer series?

If any network can make a superhero show about an Arrow character a success it’s definitely be The CW, so let’s hope they’re listening.

What do you think about Deathstroke getting his own series? Is he the Arrow character you’d like to see most land a spinoff? Sound off below!
