‘Charmed’ Fans Reveal The One Thing That Will Get Them To Tune Into A Revival

Earlier this month, we had a bit of fun imagining what Charmed could look like if the series got remade for television today. While it’s fun to fan cast some of our favorite young actresses into the roles of our favorite witches, it’s clear that there’s one thing any Charmed reboot would have to do to make fans of the series happy.

So what’s the one constituency fans of the series have? Get the original cast back, of course!

Sadly, the odds of seeing the likes of the Halliwell sisters as we remember them in The CW’s planned revival of the series are slim. According to initial reports, the plan for The CW’s Charmed reboot is to have the series take place in the 1976, long before the events of the original show takes place. While that means we probably won’t see adult versions of Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), and Paige (Rose McGowan) running around and battling nefarious forces, there’s still a chance we might see our favorite witches as youngsters. As Charmed fans know all too well, all of the sisters would have been born by 1976, with their mother, Patty, being about 26 years old.

It’ll be interesting to see if they incorporate younger version of the Halliwells into the mix, or if they play up the time travel trope, like they did in “That 70s Episode,” which took place in 1975 whilst Patty was pregnant with Phoebe and working at a local diner.

Regardless of whether or not we see some incarnation of our favorite characters show up in The CW’s upcoming prequel, one thing’s for sure: fans of Charmed would definitely love to see some of the original actresses pop up in the series.

In fact, many of you took to the commented on our Facebook post about recasting the Charmed sisters to share just how you think the original cast could be incorporated in the upcoming revival.
