It’s not that big of a surprise that if it wasn’t for One Direction, not all of the lads would be singers today. So, what would they be doing?
Well, Liam Payne paid a visit to Seacrest Studios at Boston’s Children’s Hospital in May and revealed exactly what he’d be doing if he wasn’t winning over fans with his voice. The craziest part is that it’s something we would’ve never guessed. Here’s a hint… it involves airplanes!
“This is quite funny actually, I would be building airplanes,” Payne told the radio hosts at Seacrest Studios. “My dad used to build airplanes, and I had a job set up, ready to go just before the band started.”
Building airplanes? That is SO different than writing and singing songs like “Strip That Down.” Seriously, we could’ve never predicted that the British singer would’ve gone into the family business of building airplanes, but if we’re being honest, it sounds like a really cool job.
The 23-year-old former boy bander also chatted about some random topics, like what his favorite meal is, which is “Tea,” but by that he means dinner, because remember he’s British and not everything is as is seems across the pond.
Payne also told a semi-funny dad joke involving an octopus and dreamt up the perfect animal… a Chihuahua sized rhinoceros aptly titled a “Mino,” because it would be a mini rhino. He even went as far as to say, “That’s what his name would be, Mino. ‘Mino, no. Sit! Good Mino.’”
