While most Friends fans have dreams about a revival, Matthew Perry has nightmares.

Though we’re really happy about the Friends! The Musical announcement, what we really want to see is our favorite six BFFs back in NYC, catching up at Central Perk on a weekly basis.

Unfortunately, Perry, who played everyone’s favorite goofball, Chandler Bing, is NOT ready for a revival. In fact, he sort of panics about it whenever he goes to sleep, and we can see where he’s coming from.

“I have this recurring nightmare — I’m not kidding about this. When I’m asleep, I have this nightmare that we do Friends again and nobody cares,” Perry told Variety in a new interview.

Nobody caring about Friends? That would never happen. If fans are still on board with Fuller House after two seasons and Disney Channel can do a That’s So Raven spinoff, we have to believe that Friends would be a massive hit for NBC once again.

“We do a whole series, we come back, and nobody cares about it,” Perry explained about his nightmare.

When asked about the revival options and whether or not he’d actually sign back on for another season, Perry shut down the idea once and for all, and our hearts are broken.

“So if anybody asks me, I’m gonna say no,” he continued. “The thing is: We ended on such a high. We can’t beat it. Why would we go and do it again?”

Okay, while we are totally bummed with this answer, we do get that Friends had the perfect ending. However, we’re still secretly hoping that Perry (and his fellow costars) will change their mind about doing a revival — even if it’s only for one episode! If not, there’s always potential for a reboot (in fact, we even have a few actors in mind to take over the roles of Rachel, Chandler, and more).

Do you want a TV revival of Friends, or was the finale the perfect ending?
