It looks like the Salvatore School will be getting a very special enrollee soon.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly about the season four finale The Originals at ATX Television Festival this weekend, creator Julie Plec accidentally gave away a spoiler about how The Vampire Diaries might come into play on upcoming episodes of the drama, TVGuide.com reports.

As fans who tuned in to watch the TVD series finale in March will recall, the episode capped off with characters Caroline (Candice King) and Alaric (Matt Davis) opening up a school for the supernatural, with a little (okay, a lot) of financial help from Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Now, it seems Klaus is ready to cash in on that donation. With his daughter Hope Mikaelson definitely falling into the “young and gifted” category, Klaus may be sending her to get some lessons on how to handle her powers at the Salvatore School — at least according to Plec, who basically revealed (without meaning to, apparently) that the series is headed for a TVD tie-in of epic proportions.

“Alaric and Caroline are running the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, where Hope Mikael—…. never mind,” she said during the panel as reported by TVGuide.com “Keep watching…”

As DigitalSpy points out, Hope’s journey to the Salvatore School was setup earlier this season on The Originals, when Alaric visited New Orleans and told her she has a standing invitation to the school. There’s no word yet on whether Hope’s arrival will set the stage for another spinoff — talk of which started almost as soon as TVD ended — or whether it will pave the way for Caroline and Alaric to permanently join The Originals.

Either way, if Plec did in fact spoil a future storyline, fans will find out on June 23, when the season four finale of The Originals airs on The CW.
