On Wednesday (June 14), Tremblay attended the premiere of his new film, The Book of Henry, but instead of focusing on himself, he was star struck when he saw Luke Skywalker — er, we mean Hamill — on the red carpet.
“Geeked out, big time, don’t even care!” Tremblay wrote on a series of photos of him and Hamill. “Thank you @HamillHimself for chatting with me! #Woah! #LukeSkywalker #TheBookofHenry #LAFilmFestival.”
Before we talk about the fact that the 10-year-old actor is the luckiest kid ever because he got to meet the Star Wars legend, can we take a minute to gush about how freaking cute Tremblay is? These pictures are too much!
After tweeting about his run-in with the Star Wars icon, Tremblay even got a response from Hamill.
“You (& the entire cast) were wonderful in #TheBookOfHenry Jacob!” Hamill wrote on Twitter. “A beautiful film-so unpredictable, heartfelt & moving #GreatMovie #JediJake.”
Hamill just dubbed Tremblay “Jedi Jake” and we can’t handle all of this awesome. Clearly the force is strong with Tremblay and Hamill can see it. How cool is that?
Obviously, the Room actor saw this hashtag and now he’s dubbed it his new nickname and we totally approve.
“Everyone can now call me #JediJake please,” he tweeted.
Jedi Jake and Luke Skywalker… sounds like a good movie idea, don’t you think?
PS: The Book of Henry hits theaters on June 16, 2017.
