ABC’s Quantico is in the midst of some big changes.
As Quantico fans know, Yasmine Al Massi will NOT be returning as everyone’s favorite twins, Nimah and Raina, when the series returns. But on a positive note, ABC has finally announced which actors will be back for season 3, and there are a lot of good ones staying to carry the show during its reboot.
When Quantico returns for its 13-episode third season, it will include the show’s leading lady, Priyanka Chopra, and costars Jake McLaughlin and Johanna Braddy, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed on Wednesday.
Chopra’s return is not surprise seeing as she took to Twitter once Quantico’s renewal was announced back in May to tell fans that she would in fact be staying on as FBI recruit, Alex Parrish.
“So excited about the season 3 pick up for #Quantico congrats to everyone who made it happen! #AlexParrish will be back soon..,” Chopra wrote at the time.
In addition to the trio mentioned above, ABC also announced that season two addition, Blair Underwood, will also be coming back next season.
The network has yet to officially speak out about the return of original stars Aunjanue Ellis and Russell Tovey, but THR reports that the two aren’t expected to be back in a full-time capacity.
Knowing that at least four of our favorite actors are coming back is making us breathe a little easier about the new season of Quantico. Plus, ABC has finally found its new showrunner for the series, Code Black creator Michael Seitzman, so at least someone is on board to start reshaping the series.
Quantico is set to return for its third season sometime in 2018 on ABC.
