Britney Spears is setting the record straight when it comes to speculation that she lip synchs.
Ahead of her July 3rd performance in Tel Aviv, Spears chatted with an Israeli TV station about her music and opened up about whether or not she lip-synchs during her performances. Over the years, the 35-year-old singer has been accused of using playback tracks during live shows, including her June Tokyo show — when her mic got caught in her hair and the vocals kept going. Now, Spears is setting the record straight and she’s NOT happy about the way she’s being perceived.
“It’s really funny. A lot of people think I don’t sing live… Because I’m dancing so much, I do have a little bit of playback, but there’s a mixture of my voice and the playback,” Spears told the Israeli TV show hosts via E! Online.
Although she does have playback when she’s dancing — which she slays at performance, after, performance — Spears is actually hurt by the fact that so many people don’t appreciate how hard she works for her fans.
“It really pisses me off,” said Spears who explained that she works hard on stage to sing and dance simultaneously. “Nobody ever gives me credit for it, you know?”
No matter what you believe, we can all agree the Spears puts on one heck of a show. Plus, shouldn’t we all be focusing on heading to Vegas to see Spears before her residency is up and not on the times where she has technical difficulties on stage?
