According to the actor, who voices Kristoff in the beloved Disney film, he’s gearing up to go into the studio to record his part very soon.
Groff recently revealed in an interview with EW.com that he’s set to start recording his ones within the next few weeks.
“I think I just got an email yesterday where I’m about to go into the recording studio in a couple of weeks, or maybe a month?” revealed the actor. “They’re about to really get into the thick of recording it.”
Unfortunately, Groff didn’t go into specific details with regards to what we can expect from Frozen 2 — partially because he’s got no idea what’s in store himself!
“I don’t know anything about it yet other than I’m abut to start recording my section of it,” said Groff.
While Disney might be keeping a tight lid on specific details, it’s definitely exciting to know that Groff is about to go in and reprise his role as Kristoff. And if there’s one thing we’re hoping for, it’s that music directors will give the talented Tony Award winner more to sing than just a reprieve of the comical “Reindeers Are Better Than People” this time around!
We might have to wait until 2019 to experience Frozen 2 on the big screen, but the good news is Disney isn’t exactly leaving us out in the cold! Up next, Frozen fans will be able to enjoy a featurette called Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, set to run in front of Pixar’s Coco in the fall.
We’ll definitely be looking forward to seeing some of our favorite Frozen characters pop up in the upcoming featurette while we wait for the sequel to hit theaters!
Frozen 2 is slated to be released sometime in 2019.
