Nick Jonas‘ solo career may be getting bigger by the day, but we’re still not ready to give up hope that he’ll one day make music again with his brothers. Now, it turns out we may not have to.
While the Jonas Brothers — which consisted of Nick, Kevin, and Joe — disbanded in 2013, its members (who are real-life brothers) are still very close, and two of the three are still making music. But while they may each be focused on their solo pursuits, in a new interview with The National, Nick admitted that a JoBros reunion isn’t completely off the table.
“We made a choice and that’s to be family first and then career comes second,” the “Jealous” singer told The National about the band’s decision to split. “All of us are quite happy being on our own at the moment.”
Nick explained that while all of the brothers (the youngest being Frankie, who never sang in the group) are thriving on their own, they aren’t completely opposed to coming back together down the line.
“My brother Joe and his band DNCE are doing well. My other brother, Kevin, has two beautiful daughters and fatherhood has become his main job,” he said. “So, all of us are doing our thing, but never count out anything.”
According to Nick, the fact that each of the Jonas Brothers members loves making music, means nothing is off the table.
“We are all very creative and we have our own music that we want to make and that may include all of us together one day,” he added.
Let’s face it, we’ve all been counting down the days until a JoBros reunion, and now at least we know it could actually happen. Sure, Jonas didn’t say when, if ever, it will come about, but the fact that he’s open to a musical revival with his brothers is so exciting — for music lovers and Disney Channel fans alike.
Until then, we’ll impatiently wait for Nick’s newest solo album to drop sometime later this year!
