Season 7 of Once Upon a Time has just begun filming, but there is already a lot of news to keep up with ahead of the series’ fall return. The most recent news is that there are five new additions to the cast, and we’re excited about all of them.
After OUAT co-creator Adam Horowitz welcomed the newest cast members to the fairytale family on Twitter on Thursday (July 6), the actors took to the social media site to react to his announcements. The new additions include Adelaide Kane, Rose Reynolds, Mekia Cox, Dania Ramirez, and Gabrielle Anwar.
After Horowitz gave Kane a shoutout welcoming her to the cast, the Reign alum replied by expressing her excitement over joining the ABC drama.
“Jazzed to be here, thanks for having meeeee!!!,” Kane wrote in response to Horowitz’s tweet on Thursday.
Kane’s future costars also shared their enthusiasm about joining the star-studded series, which will now follow adult Henry Mills (Andrew J. West) and no longer include the Charming family, which was made up of Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas.
“SUPER excited!!” Reynolds tweeted in reply to Horowitz’s announcement before revealing her first day of filming would be Friday (July 7).
“Thank you for all the welcomes, Once supporters! It’s a great team and Day 1 of S7 kicked off today; for me tomorrow! X,” she added.
Cox, who is best known for her role on Chicago Med, revealed that being on a fairytale series is pretty much everyone’s Disney dream come true. “#OUAT @abcnetwork @onceabcofficial #gracious #livingmydisneydream,” she tweeted alongside a picture of a story about her casting.
Ramirez, also gave a shout out back to Horowitz, and all of this love is making us SO happy about the ABC series returning for another season this fall.
