Niall Horan might not be making music with One Direction at the moment, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still love and support his former bandmates. In fact, Horan might be an even bigger Directioner than you are — okay, that’s probably a little dramatic, but he LOVES 1D.
In the past Horan has talked about how he plans to reunite with bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson sooner, rather than later (thank goodness), but until then he’s listening to their solo songs and jamming along like the rest of us. The Irish singer even revealed which of his 1D pals’ current tracks he listens to a lot, while chatting on the Australian radio show, Ash London Live! earlier this week.
When asked which five songs he’d choose to listen to while on a trip to Australia, Horan revealed that his list includes a track by friend Selena Gomez, one of his own songs, and one from his former bandmates, Payne.
So what’s on the “This Town” singer’s top five plane ride playlist? Well, number five is “Bad Liar” by Selena Gomez followed by “Strip That Down” by Payne at number four. Payne’s track is super catchy and upbeat, and it does mention One Direction, so we can totally see why Horan is rocking out to it.
Plus, the two singers were recently reunited while playing a few shows on the same stage, including one in Indiana, in June, so maybe that’s why Horan is showing Payne a little more love than Tomlinson and Styles.
As for the rest of his picks, the singer revealed he’d have “Big For Your Boots” by Stormzy, “Lost In Your Light” by Dua Lipa + Miguel, and last but not least, his own hit, “Slow Hands” at number one.
Which five songs would you listen to on a plane ride to Australia… or anywhere for that matter?
