Don’t worry, Once Upon a Time fans. Your favorites may be gone — but they’re not getting replaced.

After Once Upon a Time boss Adam Horowitz announced last week that the upcoming seventh season of the drama will feature a number of fresh faces — including Reign’s Adelaide Kane — some fans wondered whether the new actors were being brought on to play the same characters as former season 6 cast members.

Now, Horowitz is confirming that’s not the case. After a fan tried to comfort worried Oncers by saying that no one is being replaced on the upcoming season, and that the new enlistees are all playing new characters, Horowitz simply responded, “Yes.”

That’s sure to come as a relief to fans of the drama, who are still recovering from the season 6 finale departures of mainstays Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas and more.

Horowitz’s affirmation is further backed up by a statement released by ABC in May about the upcoming season, which teased “new fairy tale characters and old search for true love, find adventure and once again take sides in the struggle of good against evil, as classic tales are once more twisted and reimagined.”

In addition to Kane, the cast of the rebooted seventh season will be rounded out by Burn Notice alum Gabrielle Anwar, Premium Rush’s Dania Ramirez, Chicago Med’s Mekia Cox, and Wasted’s Rose Reynolds.
