There’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to season 3 of Outlander. That being said, fans of Diana Gabaldon’s beloved book series have been freaking out over one specific moment ever since the long awaited trailer for the third season hit the internet.
We’re talking of course about the moment in which Claire (Caitriona Balfe) sees the sign for the print shop. If you’ve read the books, then you’ll know what this means and why that seemingly ordinary print shop is all anyone can talk about these days. If you haven’t, you might want to avoid reading any further if you want to stay spoiler free!
So why is the print shop so significant? Well, that’s because it’s the site of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire’s reunion, which takes place 20 years after Claire goes back through the stones and into her time.
Though the powers that be on Starz’s Outlander are keeping tight lipped as to when we’ll get to experience the long-awaited scene in the print shop, we do know that it was Matthew B. Roberts who wrote the episode.
The writer and producer, who has also worked on episodes like “Dragonfly in Amber,” “Je Suis Prest,” and “The Reckoning,” took to Twitter to confirm his involvement in brining the scene to life.
“Yes…I wrote the #printshop episode,” revealed Roberts when a fan asked if he could tell us who worked on the highly anticipated moment.
Additionally, over on Instagram, we got a closer look at the sign for the site in question. The detailed image features an intricate store sign that reads “A. Malcolm, Printer and Bookseller.”
Knowing the writers of the series, we’re sure we’re in for quite the emotional reunion when Claire and Jamie see each other for the first time in two decades, and we can’t wait for that moment to get here!
Outlander returns to Starz on September 10 at 8 p.m.
