If you’re into music, then this is the show for you!
On Thursday (July 20), E! announced it has officially greenlit The Platinum Life, a reality series that follows the powerful women behind some of the biggest male acts in Hollywood. Needless to say, we’re already getting our DVRs set to start taping it ASAP!
According to E!’s press release, the series will premiere this fall and will follow “an elite group of music’s most savvy women and their significant others as they live their first-class lifestyles.”
So who are these ladies you ask? Well, the cast will include Crystal Smith, who is married to Ne-Yo; La’Myia Good, who is married to Eric Bellinger (a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and producer); and Shatel Jackson, who has been in a long-term relationship with Nelly for years. The show will also focus on Lola Monroe, who is a rapper and songwriter herself and is dating King Los; Asiah Azante, who is married to Kid Ink; Nazanin Mandi, who is engaged to Miguel, and Alycia Bellamy, who is a newly single artist.
“The music industry is known for big, outspoken personalities living lavish lifestyles, but it’s also an extremely tough business to succeed in,” E!’s Executive Vice President of Programming & Development, Jeff Olde, said in a statement. “We are excited to give viewers an all-access pass to see how these fearless women climb to the top both personally and professionally.”
If you’ve always loved the music industry, and wanted to know what goes on behind closed doors, in both the music world and the relationships that are formed within it, this is going to be your show. Plus, who doesn’t love a little reality TV mixed with good music and fierce females?
The Platinum Life will premiere sometime this fall on E!
