The wait is finally over! ABC has revealed the premiere date for season 14 of Grey’s Anatomy, so get those calendars out, because we know you’re going to want to start your countdown today!

On Monday (July 24), ABC finally released its fall 2017 TV lineup (all the other major networks including NBC, CBS, Fox, and The CW released theirs earlier this summer). The best news to come out of this announcement is that we now know that Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) will be returning to our TV screens on Thursday, September 28, 2017.

To make TGIT even better, the Grey’s season premiere will be a two-hour long episode, TV Line points out, and we can barely contain our excitement. As we previously reported, the cast of Grey’s Anatomy had their first table read of season 14 last week for the premiere episode, which is titled  “Break Down the Home.” While there’s no word yet on why the title is “Break Down the Home,” the fact that the premiere is two hours, leads us to think that fans should prepare for some big things to go down in the season opener.

The hit medical drama will be followed by another Shonda Rhimes‘ favorite, How to Get Away With Murder at 10 p.m. as it returns for its fourth season.

As for some of ABC’s other hit shows, Modern Family will return for its ninth season on Sept. 27 at 9 p.m. and come Oct. 3, at 9 p.m. Black-ish will premiere its fourth season. To see all of ABC’s fall 2017 lineup, click here.

Grey’s Anatomy will return for its 14th season on September 28, 2017 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
