Grey’s Anatomy doesn’t return until the fall, but that doesn’t mean the cast isn’t already back together!
The stars of the show reunited on Friday (July 21) for the first table read of season 14, and some cast members — including Camilla Luddington — were all about giving fans a sneak peek at the exciting occasion.
“#s14,” Luddington, who plays Dr. Joe Wilson, simply captioned a picture featuring name cards for her character and Arizona Robbins (played by Jessica Capshaw).
Though Luddington’s post doesn’t give away too much, Giacomo Gianniotti, who plays Dr. Andrew DeLuca, offered up a teaser about the upcoming season of the Shonda Rhimes drama that was a bit more telling. The actor shared a photo from the table read with a clear shot of the script for the season 14 premiere, confirming that the episode is titled “Break Down the Home.”
The photo reveals that the premiere was written by Krista Vernoff and will be directed by Debbie Allen, who plays Catherine Avery on the drama.
Meanwhile, Sarah Drew, who plays Dr. April Kepner, posted photos with her fellow costars from what appears to be the season 14 kick off party.
“Back to school with these lovelies! Let me introduce you to one of my besties who also happens to be a new writer on greys! Say hi to @marlanahope !!,” wrote Drew alongside a photo of her friend Hope and costar Caterina Scorsone.” Here we are at our first work party TOGETHER!! And of course I’m so happy to be back in action with my sister @caterinascorsone !! Love these gals to the moon!!”
As for star Ellen Pompeo? Well, she has yet to post anything from the table read, but she did confirm that it was happening on Friday while tweeting back and forth with fans.
We couldn’t be more excited that the cast is officially back in the swing of things for season 14 — now, if only we could figure out what “Break Down the Home” means! Leave your best guesses in the comments!
