Our favorite docs are trading in their scrubs for jerseys!
On Tuesday (July 27), Grey’s Anatomy stars Justin Chambers, Jesse Williams, Jason W. George and Kevin McKidd took a break from filming season 14 — yes, season 14 is officially underway — to play some ball. The group reunited at the Seattle Mariners game at Safeco Field and threw out the first pitch.
“My boys ! Proud to be on this team 😉 @greysabc #seattle #mariners,” McKidd, who plays Dr. Owen Hunt on the show, captioned a group photo of all of the guys on the field.
The Grey’s actors each donned a Mariners jersey and baseball hat as they took the field and let their sporty side show. Before the big first pitch, a few of the stars posted behind-the-scenes photos and they’re too good not to share.
“Gettin’ loose in the tunnels before taking the mound at #SafeCoField to the throw that first pitch w the boys. @Mariners #RedSox #HiPops #Beisbol @Ebroji,” Williams, who plays Dr. Jackson Avery, captioned his practice pitch video.
The stars might be naturals at playing doctors on TV, but clearly, they aren’t too bad at playing baseball either. Plus, all of these group hangouts make it even more exciting that Grey’s is getting ready to return for another season this fall.
Grey’s Anatomy returns for its 14th season (with a two-hour premiere) on September 28, 2017 on ABC.
